Here’s what’s open and closed across Windsor this Christmas

Christmas is almost here, Windsor! Here’s what’s open and closed across the city on Dec. 25.

City services

A ll locations of the Windsor Public Library will be closed on Dec. 25 and 26.

Devonshire Mall and Tecumseh Mall will be closed on Christmas Day.

City of Windsor administrative offices will be closed.

311 Customer Contact Centre will be closed Dec. 25 and 26.

211 Windsor-Essex will remain open 24/7.

The Homelessness and Housing Help Hub (H4) will be open their regular hours to offer services for people experiencing homelessness, 8 a.m. to midnight daily.

Municipal parking ticket payment offices will be closed on Dec. 25 and 26.

Garbage and Recycling

There will be no residential collection services on Dec. 25. Residential garbage, yard waste and recycling collection services will be delayed.

Community and family activities

Community centres will be closed on Dec. 25.

All rinks and arenas will close at 2 p.m. on Dec. 24, 2024, after which Lanspeary Lions outdoor rink reopens for regular rentals on Dec. 26, 2024. All other arenas reopen Dec. 27.

The centralized registration and booking centre will be closed from Dec. 23 to 26, 2024 and then again  Dec. 28 to 31.

The WFCU Centre will be open for pool reservations and previously scheduled rentals only and will be closing at 3 p.m. on Dec. 24 and 31, 2024, and closed on Dec. 25 and 26.

Adventure Bay Family Water Park will be closed Dec. 25 and 26.

From December 21, 2024, to January 5, 2025, Adventure Bay Family Water Park Presented by WFCU Credit Union will run on holiday hours from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Hours on Dec. 24 will be noon to 4 p.m.

Bright Lights Windsor is open nightly from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. until Jan. 7, 2025 at Jackson Park.

The Chimczuk Museum and François Baby House are both closed on Christmas Day.
