With statutory holidays including Christmas, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day over the next two weeks, some local offices and businesses will see their hours altered between now and Jan. 2.
There will be no curbside waste collection on December 25 and January 1. During these two weeks, some collection days move by one day:

Wednesday will be collected on Thursday.

Thursday will be collected on Friday.

Friday will be collected on Saturday.
For two weeks after Christmas Day, the region will collect natural Christmas trees, which are chipped for mulch.
Cambridge and Waterloo waste transfer stations will be closed for residential access on December 25, 26 and January 1.
Grand River Transit will operate winter holiday service December 23 to January 5.
Regional administration offices will be closed Dec. 25, Dec. 26 and Jan. 1.
Warming spaces at 150 Main (Cambridge) and 150 Frederick (Kitchener) will be open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., including Saturday, Sundays, and holidays.
Region of Waterloo Library branches will be open until 2 p.m. on Dec. 24, then closed Dec. 25 and 26. They will be open until 2 p.m. on Dec. 31 and closed Jan. 1.
Public Health Clinics will be closed Dec. 25 and 26 and Jan. 1.
Schneider Haus will be closed Dec. 24 to 26, Dec. 31 and Jan. 1.
Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum will be closed Dec. 24 to 26, Dec. 31 and Jan. 1.
McDougall Cottage Historic Site is closed for the season and will re-open on Family Day.
Cambridge
City hall closes at 12 p.m. on Dec. 24 and remains closed until Jan. 2.
Cambridge Centre for the Arts will close at 12 p.m. on Dec. 24 and remain closed until Jan. 2.
Cambridge Public Library is closed Dec. 24 to 26. Branches will close at 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 31 and will remain closed on Jan. 1.
Community centres Ted Wake, David Durward, William E. Pautler and Allan Reuter: Close at 12 p.m. on Dec. 24 and remain closed until Jan. 2.
