Deandre Hopkins has been traded to the Kansas City Chiefs from the Tennessee Titans for 1/5 round pick.
That could become 1/4 round pick.
Let’s just start like we, we usually we shoot the, you know what we we meander about, but let’s, let’s just get right into this Frank.
Why in the hell would anybody help the Kansas City Chiefs?
I don’t know how much this really helps the Chiefs to be honest.
II, I wonder what DeAndre Hopkins has left.
I, he was pretty solid last year.
He’s really fallen off this year after dealing with the knee issue in training camp.
He has 15 catches for 100 and 73 yards.
I I think the question obviously is how much of that is just a broken Tennessee passing game?
How much of that is deandre Hopkins just hitting the age curve.
It happens to everybody.
If anybody can get something out of deandre Hopkins, it’s going to be Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes.
I get that, but I, I don’t know that this necessarily replaces Rashi Rice.
I do think that they will be able to elevate deandre potentially in a way that uh some other teams wouldn’t like a body control standpoint and a hand control there is going to be an element that DeAndre is going to be able to, to make Mahomes.
Right.
And Mahomes make him right and vice versa.
Chiefs don’t need a Cooper cup.
Not that they couldn’t use a Cooper cup, but they don’t need to like give what the Rams are gonna want for a Cooper Cup because we’ve seen Tyree Kill, walk out the door and them still win Super Bowls.
We’ve seen them lose big pieces and I don’t think we should give Patrick Mahomes no weapons, but I don’t think that we need to completely break the bank.
An undefeated Chiefs team.
This one back to back Super Bowl has just acquired somebody coming off a ca a year where they had 75 catches for over 1000 yards.
It has been absolutely riddled in the mediocrity known as Will Levis every single week.
The Titans are dumpster fire at this point.
If you’re the Bills and you thought you just made up ground by acquiring Amari Cooper, the Chiefs will say, ok, maybe deandre isn’t Amari Cooper, but we were already ahead of you.
So now we acquire somebody that we think gives us a plus and frankly, that bridges that, that extends more gap between where the Chiefs are and everybody else.
So I think when you give a two time defending Super Bowl team and a quarterback, that’s absolutely Epic A receiver that can play as well as deandre Hopkins.
Can I roll my eyes to it?
I’m like my God.
How are we in this situation again?
The Chiefs yet to get like we just got them closer to a three as a collective NFL world.
They just got closer to a three peat in my mind.
