Sean mcdermott Wednesday, talking about Amari Cooper’s status.
He basically said he wasn’t sure like if he’s even gonna play, my guess is he ends up playing, but how much he plays, how much timing and chemistry he has.
This isn’t a system.
Cooper is familiar with, this is not a quarterback.
Uh, Cooper is familiar with, we’ve seen Cooper get dropped then in the middle of the season that 2018 Cowboys season, he basically saved that year, uh, for, for the Dallas Cowboys in Dallas.
They dropped him kind of into that move around flanker position.
He’s probably playing ex receiver for this Buffalo Bills offense, which is a bit more of a big learning curve and it’s a, it’s a rather, it’s a rather arduous system too.
Uh, what they ask of that ex receiver spot in, uh, Joe Brady’s offense.
Yeah, I, I don’t think he’s a must start by any means and, and that’s a little bit match up and a little bit just like learning his way around the new team.
Right.
I think it could take a couple of weeks for sure if you’re the Bills, you know, you, you really just want Amari Cooper, like, fully up to speed and you want, like, whatever your playoff offense looks like you wanna, you wanna basically have that in December.
So this isn’t really about how do we get through November and October with Amari Cooper?
They, they have some time to get him up to speed.
I should also say, I think the, the nice thing about this trade from a fantasy perspective is it takes the bite out of like Matt Collins who no one was playing anyway.
Right.
Like, I think they’ll still give some opportunities to Coleman.
He’s a young player that they like, I think, I think Cooper is going to operate in a very different way from Khalil Shakir.
So I, I don’t think this really bothers him in any meaningful way.
Kincade in any meaningful way.
Matt Collins is clearly the sort of player who like real life teams actually like, and, um, he’s just, he’s just been a non factor in fantasy and he’s not, he’s not a receiver who’s any kind of needle mover at Abari Cooper is just a massive upgrade.
Yeah, I think we’re kind of on the same page about what we do with Cooper this week.
