We asked you to tell us one thing – good or bad – that no-one is talking about at West Ham.
Here are some of your comments:
Graham: As good a player as Jarrod Bowen is, I would still like to see more strong leadership on the pitch as a captain of this great club. Ideally, that should come from a position that can see the majority of the play ahead of them, such as a central defender or defensive midfielder.
Chris: While everyone is talking about our attack and how to get the best out of our array of options, including Bowen, Kudus, Paqueta and Summerville, it is all a bit quiet about the defence. It was totally overhauled in the summer, but with little effect. We have conceded 11 goals in the league already, meaning we are on track for 60 goals this season. It’s not a wholehearted success…
David: We need a new goalkeeper to fit the style Julen Lopetegui is implementing. Areola has been good for us, along with Fabianski, but I can’t see it working after watching Areola’s distribution last time out. He made me nervous, let alone those playing alongside him. It is certainly something we need to look at in the summer – at the latest.
Joe: Nobody is talking about the fact that if Paqueta gets suspended, it could actually make us a better team.
Frazer: No-one is talking about taking David Moyes back, but I’m not sure that people are convinced by Lopetegui just yet. After the first four or five games it was stirring in the crowd, but the Ipswich result has quelled the murmurings for a while.
