Should the world want Aaron Rodgers back with the New York Jets next year?
This is definitely a situation where they know that they have to get the quarterback position right.
So I do not think that Aaron Rodgers will be supported by that franchise.
They they’d have to give him a reason.
He would have to give them a pretty good reason, and I understand where that’s coming from.
I think the one hesitancy I would have is who’s your better option?
If you don’t have a better option for 2025.
You shouldn’t just get rid of him, but I don’t think we should feel confident.
That Aaron Rodgers will be able to rest on his laurels when there are new decision makers in.
Uh so many moving parts to this question because one is assuming any rational decision by the New York Jets and Woody Johnson.
Like, he’s one of those owners right now, like he’s one of the worst owners in sports, is one of the worst organizations in sports.
So trying to predict what the Jets might or might not do is Probably foolish because how can you predict the actions of somebody who has no idea what they’re doing.
When you ask what’s gonna, what’s gonna happen with the 2025 Jets, probably the best option is Aaron Rodgers, even though he has struggled a lot this year, he’s obviously not the Aaron Rodgers of old.
The other part of this is, does Rodgers want to keep playing?
Like I, I, I know he said, yeah.
Yeah, he expects to be back and all that kind of stuff.
Well, that’s what you got.
He hasn’t gone to the darkness.
How’s he supposed to make a decision before going into darkness?
Oh my goodness.
Oh, that the Jets.
Oh, they’re so much fun.
There’s nothing else you could say in week 9 of an NFL season.
What do they want to keep playing you next year?
You’re not going to start your retirement tour then.
So you say, of course, I think I’m going to come back.
I wonder, secretly, he’s just like, he’s at the cliff right now.
I think we can all see that.
We’ve seen some halves of football from him where he’s been absolutely, positively miserable.
He’s usually rallied in those games, but we’ve seen kind of what the, the bad of Aaron Rodgers could be, and I don’t think it’s gonna get better at his age 41 to 42 seasons.
So I wonder if he wants to come back or if the Jets say we’re moving on.
Does he want to start over with?
The Giants, like the Browns, like there’s there’s no team where you’re like, yes, I want to start over at age 41 with these guys, or that they want him in.
So there’s just so many moving parts of this.
I, I kind of do think that this is it for Aaron Rodgers.
I I just think that he’s gonna play out the string here and retire because he just doesn’t want to deal with either the Jets nonsense or starting over with somebody else.
