Jason Fitz with Yahoo Sports, hanging out with Bill superstar, Josh Allen, who’s like, let’s be honest, he’s been with Yahoo a few times at this point, Josh, I feel like we’re best friends now.
Like I, I don’t know, you’re joining us on behalf of Pepsi.
We’ll get into that in a minute.
I wanna start with a little bit of football though.
Obviously, we’re finally here in the regular season.
So now that we know each other, well, that’s I’m making this up, but I want to ask you a tough question out of the gate because I feel like the national narrative on the Bills is that they can’t get through the Chiefs for you guys.
Do you feel or hear any of that noise inside the building?
We’re very internally motivated here uh in Buffalo and obviously the last couple of years, things haven’t gone our way and we’re just trying to figure out a way to get over that hump and Kansas City has been the pinnacle of what’s going on the age of football right now and you know, we gotta find a way to get it done.
And I think that this entire off-season.
There’s been a lot of changes here in Buffalo and have a very young squad right now, but trust in the leadership of Coach mcdermott and some of the vets that we have in this team, you know, Von Miller and myself and a few guys in the offensive line on the defensive side to Rob Bernard who played some really good football for us last year stepping up and, and, uh really taking the charge of that defense right now.
So it’s all about playing together and playing well when it matters and, and trying to stay as healthy as possible.
I think that’s a big part of it too that uh not a lot of people talk about in, in, in the NFL, but the, the teams that are healthy at the end are typically the teams that win.
Ok.
So with all of that being said, obviously, like I said, you’re joining us on behalf of Pepsi.
So let’s talk a little about, what are you doing with Pepsi?
Yeah, the uh make your Game Day epic campaign.
Um It’s a, a nice uh commercial that’s gonna air on NFL kickoff.
It’s with me, Jay Jets, Derek Henry Travis Kelsey and Meg the Stallion with her new song being involved with it as well or a full gladiator get up, you know, the, the couple of days that we got to film in Vancouver, it was so much fun and uh I’m just happy that I had the guys there uh to, to joke around with and make it as, as fun as possible because it’s so out of my element, you know, we’re in full get up.
It felt like Halloween and I’m not a Halloween guy at all.
Uh I don’t like dressing up that much.
So it was very like I said, out of my comfort zone, but the guys that were there, we, we, we joked around, we had so much fun.
Um And it’s an ode to the movie Gladiator.
So yeah, Gladiator Two is coming out.
We got to see a sneak peek of it, which is very, very good.
I’m very excited to see the whole thing.
And uh yeah, it was such a great time.
Who is the best guy on set?
You’re gonna say you were the worst.
I know that.
So who was the best guy on set?
You know what?
It was a tie between Jets and uh Derek Henry.
I think they, they both have a knack to, to be natural.
And um at the same time, you know, we just had so much fun and got to drink a whole lot of Pepsi too.
I mean, Derek Henry also not for nothing is absolutely massive as a human being when you’re that big.
Do you even bother wearing your shirt on a gladiator suit?
I don’t think so.
He, for some reason, he looked, he looked even bigger, you know, he’s got the abs, he’s got the, this, the, that he’s a, he’s an absolute physical specimen, but on top of that, he is a fantastic human being.
Um, and I thoroughly enjoyed my time being around him and, you know, I, I got so much love and respect for him.
