Making his debut for Guy Gagnon, the gelding dropped back to sixth in a :28 first quarter but began to move second-over behind Duke Lavictoire (Jacques Beaudoin) approaching the half in :57.

All Wrapped Up picked past horses as the field went down the backstretch, taking the first-up mantle from Duke Lavictoire, who found a spot at the pylons. All Wrapped Up pulled alongside leader The Great Emotion going into the final turn, seized command at the top of the lane, and held off the surging Black Tie Bash (Robert Shepherd) for a 1:55.1 victory.

Ripped And Ready (Jimmy Gagnon) finished third.

ALL WRAPPED UP REPLAY

All Wrapped Up was making his first start at Rideau Carleton since he won an Ontario Sires Stakes Gold leg at three. The former Super Finalist has now won 33 of his 183 starts and has earned $617,158. Sylvain Cote of Joliette and Michel Lagace of Terrebonne own the eight-year-old.

Gagnon had three driving and training wins on the day.

Racing will continue at Rideau Carleton Raceway on Sunday, Sep. 22 at 6:30 p.m. EDT.
