Manchester City defender Manuel Akanji will miss his side’s trip to Tottenham on Wednesday.
The Swiss international was a late scratch about five minutes before kick off after picking up an injury during warm up.
John Stones was the team-mate asked to replace Akanji for City’s EFL Cup clash. It remains to be seen what type of injury the 29-year-old sustained.
It’s yet another headache for Pep Guardiola, with Jeremy Doku and Jack Grealish also on the shelf now, alongside Ballon d’Or winner Rodri.
