The shooting is considered targeted and the homicide unit is investigating, police say.

Investigators are looking for at least one suspect who was seen in the area at the time wearing dark clothing.

A white SUV was also seen fleeing the area at the time of the incident, Moskaluk said.

As the neighbourhood is close to Highway 407, any witnesses who saw a white SUV speeding in either direction on the highway are asked to speak to police, she said.

“Please check your ring cameras, your surveillance video, your dashcam,” she said. “Anything that may look unimportant to you is important to us.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact investigators or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers.
