MOBILE, Ala. – The Ottawa University men’s tennis team’s season ended with a 4-0 loss to (9) Reinhardt University at the NAIA National Championships on Tuesday morning.
Jarmo Perez Wienese and Jhoel Quinonez fell in their no. 1 doubles match 6-3 to Federico Zeiter and Nikolai Hensburg. Santiago Tartaglia and Bernardo Figueiredo, playing no. 3 doubles, lost to Juan Vallejo and Poi Masafret 6-1. Ben Russell and Oscar Giorgio’s no. 2 doubles match was unfinished.
Perez Wienese lost 6-2, 6-0 in no. 1 singles to Fisicaro. Russell was defeated 6-1, 6-1 by Said Santin in no. 5 singles. In no. 6 singles, Valentin Corriger lost 6-3, 6-3 to Zeiter.
The Braves finish the season with an overall record of 14-9. This was the OU men’s tennis team’s first trip to the NAIA National Tournament.
