Michelle Obama’s Leopard Print Suit Delivered A Fierce Message

Must read

Michelle Obama delivered a fierce message to voters with her look over the weekend. As the former First Lady attended a Michigan rally in support of the Democratic nominee, Vice President Kamala Harris, she channeled the wild energy of this year’s presidential election and let the opposing party know she wasn’t going down without a fight.

Dressed in a black and brown leopard print pantsuit from Theory, Obama wore a single-breasted blazer with defined shoulders and coordinating slim-fit trousers. She layered a black tee underneath to bring her look together, and accessorised with a pair of black pumps.

It wasn’t just her powerful suit that made a statement, though. Obama continued the symbolism with pops of blue—the colour of the Democratic Party—including a royal blue manicure and gold hoop earrings encrusted with blue gemstones. She wore her hair in braids with a deep side parting, and styled her tresses in a low-slung braid. Her glam was finished off with fluttery lashes and a nude glossy lip.

At the rally, Obama gave an emotional speech to the swing state’s voters, covering everything from reproductive rights to Donald Trump’s ‘mental decline’ before welcoming Harris to the stage. ‘I hope you’ll forgive me if I’m a little frustrated that some of us are choosing to ignore Donald Trump’s gross incompetence while asking Kamala to dazzle us at every turn,’ she began her message.

‘I hope that you will forgive me if I’m a little angry that we are indifferent to his erratic behaviour, his obvious mental decline, his history as a convicted felon, a known slum lord, a predator found liable for sexual abuse—all of this while we pick apart Kamala’s answers from interviews that he doesn’t even have the courage to do, y’all,’ Obama continued, adding that she fears ‘too many people’ are giving Trump ‘a pass’ despite his behaviour. ‘That’s exactly how he got elected the first time,’ she warned.
