TOM GREEN looks totally different from his MTV days, with the TV star now rocking facial hair after ditching his Hollywood lifestyle.
Tom, now 53, ditched his “inauthentic” Hollywood life to become a farmer, and his drastic lifestyle change has been accompanied by a change in his appearance, too.
He shot to fame on The Tom Green Show, which aired on Canadian television and later on MTV between 1994 and 2000.
When Tom hosted his self-titled show on MTV, the TV star had a brunette goatee beard, but now he has a full head of gray hair complete with a thick gray beard.
Last week, Tom showed off his new look and 150-acre property to In Depth with Graham Bensinger, with the former MTV star opening up on his new life away from the glitz and glamor of Los Angeles.
In July 2021, Tom moved to his remote Canadian property, and he revealed in the interview how he finds it “mentally elevating” living there.
“I was living in the city of Los Angeles, totally caught up in the rat race,” he said.
Tom then revealed that while he was in LA, he had been thinking of leaving the city for a decade, because living in California was not Tom being his “true authentic self”.
He explained how he had asked himself, “What am I doing here?”
In the video shared online, Tom could be seen riding around his land on his horse and chatting with the person interviewing him.
‘TOM’s GOT HIS PRIORITIES SORTED’
Tom spoke slowly and in a laidback way, with fans quick to comment on his chilled-out persona and interesting lifestyle change.
Reacting to the video, which was shared on YouTube, one person commented, “Tom has been on the cutting edge of whatever trend is coming up next.
“From being a rapper/producer in his rap group, Organized Rhyme back in the early 90s, to the Tom Green Show that paved the way for Jackass, to starting his podcast in the early/mid 2000s.
“You can’t deny he’s had a serious cultural impact on new trends and culture altogether in the comedy industry. I have nothing but the utmost respect for him.”
Meanwhile, someone else penned, “Thoroughly enjoyed watching that. Super chill. Tom’s clearly got his priorities sorted.
“Well done him for taking that leap, a lot to be said about leaving the rat race and getting back to nature. He seems very content and happy.”
MTV at the time had a policy that they didn’t want anyone over the age of 35 appearing on camera on their network.”

And a third person said, “From a lunatic TV personality to a reclusive middle-aged man with farm animals.
“Glad he found a life outside of the fame, can’t imagine many celebrities from his era made such a graceful landing in retirement.”
MTV AGE ROW
This comes after it emerged that MTV wouldn’t let anyone over the age of 35 on his show.
The show was hosted by Tom, with longtime friends Glenn Humplik and Phil Giroux serving as co-hosts.
Derek Harvie, who co-wrote the show with Tom, occasionally appeared in the segments too.
Many of the sketches were targeted at Tom’s parents, both of whom appear to be embarrassed and not impressed by their son’s antics.
The show was known for its stunts and the shock comedy that Tom was so famous and well-loved for.
In the interview, Tom revealed a shocking fact about the ages of people allowed on it.
He said, “MTV at the time had a policy that they didn’t want anyone over the age of 35 appearing on camera on their network.”
