Gusty, but mild, winds developed through the day on Tuesday for southern Ontario, reaching speeds of up to 50-60 km/h, with some areas reaching upwards to 70 km/h.

Toronto’s Pearson International Airport tied for it’s fourth-warmest November day on record, reaching 24.3 C. It was just shy of the record that was set two years ago, on Nov. 5, 2022, a day that saw the temperatures reach 25.1 C.

Hamilton airport also tied its fourth-warmest November day on record, reaching 23.1 C, again just shy of the record from Nov. 5, 2022 (24.7 C).

However, what was more impressive were the mild temperatures through the overnight period.

Many places had their warmest, minimum (or overnight low) temperatures for the month of November, highlighting how warm it was through the nighttime.

Windsor, London, Hamilton and Toronto all broke their old records, not dropping below 15.1 C at night.

A cold front will eventually pass through southern Ontario Tuesday overnight into Wednesday morning, bringing broken patches of rain and accompanied with gusty winds.

Above-seasonal temperatures will continue on Wednesday, but they will be a couple of degrees cooler than on Tuesday.

Mild temperatures will continue to dominate during the early and middle part of next week. Another system is expected mid-to-late next week, followed by a quick shot of colder weather, but above-seasonal temperatures should dominate through mid-month.
