With Chelsea having a seemingly favourable run of fixtures based on the current Premier League positions of their upcoming opponents, we put out a poll to ask where you thought the side will be in the table after their next eight games.
Here are the standings as of 17:30 GMT:
-
Top of the table – 15%
-
Second – 51%
-
Third – 23%
-
Fourth – 8%
-
Out of the top four – 3%
We also asked you to have your say on whether the Blues are in the title race – here are some of your comments:
Stevie: I agree with Enzo Maresca that it may be a little early for title talk, however, top four is a serious target now. If we could get top four and win the Conference League (completing the European trophy cabinet again) that would be a fantastic season.
Thomas: Yes, of course we can compete – we welcome the pressure.
Matthew: No we can’t. As much as we are all loving Chelsea’s performances this season, we are a young team, prone to mistakes and haven’t seen a lot of glory in recent times. As a fanbase, we mustn’t get carried away – bringing the Conference League and FA Cup to Stamford Bridge would be seen as a success. For sure, in future seasons we’ll go for the Premier League.
Bill: Chelsea will surely overtake Liverpool before mid-January. When you look at the bench, you will agree with me that Chelsea is in for business. The systematic rotation of players for different competitions is the key. We understand other teams’ strategies, but we harmonize the players’ strengths and it’s working out perfectly.
