Rams take 7-0 lead, James Conner questionable with knee injury

Must read

The Rams have taken the lead over the Cardinals late in the second quarter and Arizona may not have one of its key offensive players for the rest of Saturday night.

Kyren Williams capped the Rams’ fifth possession of the game with a 1-yard touchdown to make the score 7-0, Los Angeles.

But on the other side, running back James Conner is questionable to return with a knee injury.

Conner was listed as questionable with a knee injury entering Saturday’s contest. He was limited in practice all week.

Conner has taken four carries for 4 yards.

The Rams had been struggling offensively all night, but finally broke through on their fourth possession. Matthew Stafford began the drive with a 29-yard pass to Cooper Kupp. He then converted third-and-10 with a 15-yard pass to Puka Nacua — delivering the ball despite taking a shot.

Stafford also showed some wheels, scrambling 12 yards to the 4-yard line. A play later, Williams was able to stretch over the goal line for the score to make it 7-0.
