Real Madrid top target demands €10m net salary on a four-year contract and €15m signing bonus

Real Madrid’s pursuit of Bayern Munich mainstay Alphonso Davies has been well-publicised for months now.

The Spanish and European champions see the 23-year-old left-back as a key strategic signing, when his contract with Bayern Munich expires at the end of the season.

Alphonso Davies’ financial demanda

Now, according to German publication BILD (h/t SPORT) Davies is requesting a €15 million signing bonus from any potential suitors, a figure that could impact Real Madrid’s transfer strategy.

The 23-year-old left-back, whose contract with Bayern Munich expires at the end of the season, has been closely monitored by Real Madrid in recent months.

In fact, the Spanish capital club explored the possibility of signing him last summer itself, only to be dissuaded by the Bavarians’ asking price for the left-back.

However, Real Madrid have continued to maintain a strong interest in Davies and intend to sign him for free in 2025.

But his substantial demands, which include a net salary of €10 million per season and a minimum four-year contract commitment, coupled with the €15 million signing bonus could prompt Los Blancos to explore other options in the transfer market.

Bayern Munich have given up

Bayern Munich’s attempts to retain their star defender have reached an impasse, with the German champions requesting Davies to lower both his contractual and signing bonus expectations.

The situation has effectively made his renewal with the Bavarian club “practically impossible,” opening the door for a high-profile transfer.

While Manchester United have shown willingness to meet Davies’ financial requirements, the Canadian international appears less enthused by their sporting project.

Meanwhile, Barcelona have emerged as another interested party, with sporting director Deco particularly admiring the player’s versatility and attacking prowess.

For Real Madrid, who have traditionally maintained strong interest in Davies, the situation presents a strategic dilemma.

And it will be interesting to see if they are willing to meet the left-back’s demands to beat Barcelona to his signature.
