The 20-year-old American tennis star, Coco Gauff couldn’t take part in the Tokyo Olympics in 2021. However, this year she did manage to book her ticket to Paris. Not only that, Gauff also became the youngest flag bearer of Team USA during the opening ceremony. So, there were a lot of expectations surrounding this tennis star at this mega event. However, she could only manage to reach the R3 in singles and the R2 in the doubles event. However, Coco Gauff did manage to reach the QF of the mixed event with Taylor Fritz. Coco Gauff lost her singles match against Croatia’s Donna Vekic at the Paris Olympics. Then on the next day, she faced two defeats within a very short span of time. They were first eliminated by the Czech duo of Karolina Muchova and Linda Noskova 2-6,6-4,10-5 in the doubles match. After that, she and Taylor Fritz went down to Canada’s Félix Auger-Aliassime and Gabriela Dabrowski in the mixed doubles event. Currently, Coco Gauff is in Australia and she’s all set to kick-start her campaign with Taylor Fritz and others at the 2025 United Cup, and guess what?

It’s always an honor to represent my country. It’s a really, cool event. I had a lot of fun playing mixed doubles at the Olympics so I kinda want to do that again.“

After Gauff, we even saw Taylor Fritz sharing his thoughts on this tournament by saying, “I’m looking forward to it. [The format] has changed a bit over the years; the year that we won, we could use our team’s depth a lot more to help us. Now a lot more things can go wrong for the favorite team when it’s just one [singles] match each and a deciding mixed doubles. So I’m still excited to play. I’m glad that Coco’s here this year.” Coco Gauff is excited to play with Taylor Fritz for the second time in her career and all she now hopes is to win for her nation.
