Tensions have run high in Spain and Italy as the managers of two European heavyweights were shown red cards on Saturday.
Barcelona manager Hansi Flick was the first to be ejected after disagreeing with a penalty claim against Real Betis, which ended in a 2-2 draw.
“I don’t understand my red card. I didn’t say anything to anybody,” he said after the match. “I had a reaction, something I said to myself. This has never happened to me before.”
5 – No team has had more coaches sent off than FC Barcelona (Ronald Koeman 2, Xavi Hernández 2 and Hans-Dieter Flick 1) in LaLiga since the 2019/20 season (five also Getafe: José Bordalás 3 and Quique Sánchez Flores 2). Punishment. pic.twitter.com/ffs441meU9

And now it’s Juventus who have also seen their manager sent packing during their clash against Bologna.
Thiago Motta was facing his former club, this time representing the Bianconeri, but was sent off for his reaction after a foul against Juventus where he kicked the ball and shouted.
It means the Serie A side must play the last 40 minutes without their manager. They are currently 2-0 down at home, with their unbeaten Serie A run on the line.
Can they turn it around?
