Former Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas believes Tottenham striker Dominic Solanke will thrive at Spurs, having played with him during his time at Stamford Bridge.
Fabregas says Solanke’s move to Bournemouth was beneficial for his development.
“I played with Solanke when he was very young at Chelsea and he was always a great goalscorer,” said the Como manager on the BBC’s Planet Premier League podcast.
“But I think he improved his overall play. Before he was more a great goalscorer in the box. He moved like a fox inside the area. He was fantastic.
“He holds the ball very well, he plays with lots of sense and I think this is the sign of a very good, intelligent player.
“Sometimes we are afraid to make one or two steps down to keep progressing instead of if you keep moving from Chelsea, where the pressure is immense to keep winning, winning, winning, especially at the times where I was playing, then you go to Liverpool and it is a little bit of the same even though in those moments they were not as good as they are now.
“But the pressure is massive in a big club.”
