What did you miss?
Chris McCausland has admitted he can’t recall what it’s like not to be in pain after several weeks of Strictly Come Dancing.
The comedian and his pro dance partner Dianne Buswell have reached the quarter-final of the BBC ballroom show after scoring 34 out of a possible 40 for their Paso Doble last weekend. But the star confessed that he is feeling it a bit.
McCausland has previously spoken about his legs aching and hurting his wrist since he’s been on the show. And speaking on spin-off It Takes Two, he revealed that time certainly isn’t flying.
What, how and why?
McCausland – who is making history as the first blind contestant – told the programme’s host Janette Manrara: “I can’t remember a time that I didn’t hurt!”
He went on: “This show is weird right, because the training every week, oh it drags. but the Saturdays come around really fast and then when you look back, normally when you do something like this you go, ‘Oh has it been there months already?'”
“Oh this feels like at least three months,” he added, as everyone started to laugh.

“I can’t remember a life before Strictly,” laughed the star, who is set to perform a Quickstep for Musicals Week.
What else did Chris McCausland say on It Takes Two?
Manrara also brought up the fact that Only Connect host Victoria Coren Mitchell had commented on McCausland’s Paso Doble at the weekend, saying that she found him “very sexy” as he was doing the dramatic dance.
She posted about it on X, writing: “Look, I am a happily married woman. But I’m finding @chrismccausland very sexy in the paso doble. And YES. I DID copy in his screen name. Just so he knows, Chris, if it all goes wrong ………”
Manrara asked McCausland for his response to her comment and he quipped: “Well Victoria, it was just a regular Saturday!”
He went on to say that he did get back to the TV star after reading her remark.
“I did actually reply to her, I saw it come in and I replied to her and said that I will keep the costume just in case!” he said.
Strictly: It Takes Two airs on BBC Two at 6.30pm, Monday to Friday.
Strictly Come Dancing airs on BBC One at 7.05pm on Saturday.
