Who will be victorious at the Billie Jean King Cup 2024 finals (13-20 November) in Malaga?
Some of the best tennis players are in the south of Spain, hoping to be crowned champions, the feat achieved by Canada last year.
Of the 12 teams in Málaga, four seeds earned byes directly into the quarter-finals: 2023 finalists Canada and Italy, Australia and wildcard Czechia. The other eight teams face off in an opening round to be part of the final eight.
Ties are best-of-three which consist of two singles matches and a doubles decider if necessary. Typically, the second-ranked singles players will play the first match, followed by the top-ranked singles players.
Matchups will be announced on the day of the tie an hour before the stated start time.
The opening round of the finals was pushed back a day to Thursday (14 November) due to adverse weather conditions in Málaga. The quarter-final ties get underwway on Saturday (16 November), with the final to be played at the Martin Carpena Arena on Wednesday, 20 November.
