Italy were crowned tennis champions of the world at the 2024 Davis Cup Final 8 (19-24 November) in Málaga, Spain.
The Azzurri retained the Davis Cup led by world number one Jannik Sinner, beating debut finalists Netherlands 2-0 in the final on Sunday, 24 November.
Meanwhile, Spain said farewell to the great Rafael Nadal, who lost his final professional tennis match on opening night.
The best-of-three knockout ties consisted of two singles matches and a doubles decider if required. Typically, the second-ranked singles players contest the first match, followed by the top-ranked singles players. Match-ups are announced an hour before the stated start time.
