(The Insurer) – The Hartford has expanded its presence in Asia with the launch of a new service company in Singapore through its Lloyd’s Syndicate 1221.
The Singapore operation will initially focus on underwriting financial lines alongside credit and political risks coverage. The Hartford said it will expand into new product offerings over time.
The new operation will be led by Zhenghong Pan, who will act as principal officer and underwriting manager for financial lines, Singapore.
Pan joined The Hartford in November 2024 from Axa XL, where he most recently served as underwriting manager for financial lines.
The Singapore service company adds to The Hartford’s Asia presence, where it has been established for over 13 years. It has existing service companies in Hong Kong and Shanghai.
