The New Saints have made history tonight, becoming the first Welsh League side to ever score a goal in European competition.
Due to their own ground not being big enough, TNS are playing their first home game in Europe at Shrewsbury Town’s New Meadow stadium in front of little over 1,000 fans.
Everyone in attendance will remember the night, as they were all witness to a bit of history. While Swansea and Wrexham have played in Europe, it was as part of the English league, meaning TNS are trailblazers for the local game in the principality.
Rory Holden was the man to get the famous goal, rising highest to head Jordan William’s cross into the top corner, to put his side 1-0 in front against Astana in their Europa Conference League clash.
Can they now hold out and make even more history with a win?
