A man accused of sexually abusing youth in a St. John’s trailer park is now facing dozens of new charges.
On Tuesday afternoon, the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary announced 39 charges against Tony Humby.
They are:

Nine counts of a householder permitting illegal sexual activity.

Nine counts of unlawfully obtaining sexual services.

Eight counts of luring a child using a computer/device.

Five counts of making arrangements to commit a sexual offence.
-
Five counts of unlawfully making sexually explicit material available to a child.
-
Sexual exploitation.
-
Making child pornography.
-
Possession of child pornography.
Humby was arrested in April 2023, and has been accused of sexual violence spanning back decades.
He has pleaded not guilty to 33 charges, related to 10 alleged victims, with his trial scheduled to begin in March.
The new charges relate to nine previous complainants and one new complainant.
Humby has been in custody at Her Majesty’s Penitentiary since his arrest nearly a year and a half ago.
According to the RNC, he is scheduled to appear at provincial court in St. John’s Tuesday afternoon.
