The Moroccan Airports Authority (ONDA) has issued a notice informing travelers planning to travel to Belgium through Charleroi Airport that the Brussels facility is experiencing traffic disruptions due to ongoing social movements.
In its notice, published Thursday on social media, ONDA urges travelers to or from this airport to «check the status of their flights by contacting their airlines before heading to the airport» to avoid delays or flight cancellations caused by the strikes.

«Due to safety reasons and staff shortages, all flights to and from Charleroi Airport have been canceled» on Friday, according to a statement from the airport operated by Brussels South Charleroi Airport.
Airport staff and management are in dispute over working conditions at the facility, leading to the strike. A consultation meeting between management and the unions is scheduled for Friday morning.
Passengers who have booked a flight should have been contacted by their airline. For any questions concerning the booking of a new flight or a refund, passengers should also contact their airline, Belgian media reported.
Meanwhile, in Canada, all Air Canada flights scheduled from September 15 are at increased risk of cancellation due to a potential strike. While negotiations between the company and its pilots are far from an agreement, either party may file a strike or lockout notice on Sunday for an effective work stoppage on September 18.
If this happens, all of the approximately 670 daily flights carrying some 110,000 passengers on Air Canada and Air Canada Rouge will be canceled. Air Canada Express flights will not be affected, reports Canadian newspaper Le Devoir.
