Seriously, if he comes back, that’s a, to me that is a question that Dolphins have to ask, Tua has to ask himself like, how much longer are we gonna do this?

One more concussion?

Three more concussions or one concussion a season?

Like what the hell is the threshold?

Because at some point you, you have to sit there and go, there’s, there is damage occurring here.

You’re knocked unconscious.

This has happened multiple times.

The nature of it is they stack.

So I, I think it’s just like, what, how far are we going take this if you want to come back?

I understand that he’s five seasons in a ton of football left inside him.

I just don’t know if there’s much safe football left inside him.

So at that point, you just have to say, where does this stop?

For me?

It’s a difficult conversation for him to have.

We’re all going to opine on it.

It’s a very personal thing for himself and that’s what’s gonna unfold.

I think if I’m the Dolphins, um I will see what the doctor say.

I don’t want him playing for at least the next game because I just think there’s too much risk and too much.

I want to make sure he is playing with as clear of a head as possible by the time he gets back out there and I am going to put restrictions on the way he’s playing.

Like, I know that you’ve seen guys who have tore their AC L or something else and they’re like, no, it’s part of who I am.

This is not a limb, this is your brain.

You get one of them and you can’t repair it in the same way that you can repair me.

And the concussions have come in different ways, right?

Like it’s like he’s been sacked and, you know, thrown to the ground, there’s a concussion now, he’s got a concussion running into someone.

It’s, there’s no obvious pattern where you can go.

Well, you’re doing this one thing and it’s causing it.

No, you’re playing football.

So I think it’s, do you start wearing the Guardian cap?

Are you the first quarterback to wear the Guardian cap every time?

I, you know what, what other ancillary measures are there to potentially protect him because we’ve taken, he’s taken other measures up until this point and now we’re back here again and that’s another thing.

We’re back in 2022 again.

The next time he steps on the field, we’re all gonna be holding our breaths all over again.
