British No 1 Jack Draper produced a stunning display to beat Tomas Machac 6-3, 6-1, 6-2 and book his place in the quarter-finals of the US Open yesterday.
Draper finds himself part of a wide-open draw courtesy of shock exits for both Carlos Alcaraz and defending champion Novak Djkovic. His form at the US Open has been impressive so far – winning his first three matches without dropping a set.
Today, on Arthur Ashe, Paula Badosa faces Emma Navarro before Taylor Fritz takes on Alexander Zverev. Then Qinwen Zheng plays Aryna Sabalenka and Grigor Dimitrov tackles Frances Tiafoe.

What happened to Emma Raducanu?
Emma Raducanu was knocked out by Sofia Kenin in a 6-1, 3-6, 6-4 first-round defeat on the Grandstand court.
It looked like it could be a short outing as Kenin rattled through the first set, but Raducanu made a match of it by sending it to three sets.
A poor service game midway through the decider proved costly as the former champion headed home.
Having played just one tournament since Wimbledon and skipping the Olympics to focus on her preparation for the US Open, she will be desperately disappointed to fall at the first hurdle and questions remain over the direction of her career.

Last year, Novak Djokovic equalled Margaret Court’s record of 24 major titles with a brilliant performance over Daniil Medvedev. But the defending champion’s quest for a 25th grand slam singles title was ended on Saturday night by Australia’s Alexei Popyrin.
In the women’s final, Coco Gauff stormed back from a set down to beat Aryna Sabalenka and claim her first grand slam title but was thwarted this year in the fourth round by her compatriot Emma Navarro.
