Variety Cruises Entices Agents With Special Rates & Contest

Must read

Small ship cruise company Variety Cruises, recently honoured with the Passenger Line Award at the 2024 Lloyd’s List Greek Shipping Awards, is announcing new special rates for travel advisors on all of its immersive itineraries available around the world in 2025.

The line is also offering a prize trip drawing for advisors who join a webinar on its most unique itinerary, its seven-day Rivers of West Africa trip, which sails roundtrip from either Dakar or Banjul bringing travellers along the waterways of Senegal and Gambia and visiting four natural reserves.

Variety’s Brand Director, Constantine Venetopoulos, whose grandfather founded the company in 1949, will host the webinar on December 17 at 6:00 pm EST. All webinar attendees will be entered into a prize draw for a chance to win a free cruise for two on the itinerary this winter to experience it first-hand. You can register for the webinar here.

As the only cruise line sailing on the Gambia River since 2008, Venetopoulos will share his own experiences on the itinerary as well as the company’s charitable projects in the region, and provide advisors with an in-depth understanding of this extraordinary cruise to empower them to confidently recommend and sell it to their clients.

For those who cannot join live, the webinar will be recorded for later viewing. Advisors who do not join live will not be eligible for the prize drawing.

To further show its appreciation for the travel advisor community and to offer more accessible in-person opportunities for education, Variety is also announcing new special rates for 2025 on its varied itineraries around the globe — from traveller favourites and up-and-coming destinations in Europe such as Greece, Italy and Malta, to French Polynesia, Cape Verde and more — with rates as low as USD $550 per person on its seven-day cruises.

Travel advisors can access the discounts by filling out a travel inquiry form and sending it to Variety Cruises’ sales department along with proof of present employment and business card at famtrips@varietycruises.com. Celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, Variety Cruises is known for offering access to destinations often unreachable by larger ships, appealing to the growing traveller interest in discovering hidden gems and less crowded locations. The company hosts around 50 guests per sailing with a crew of 20 and provides customers with experiences that are in-depth and community-driven while leaving behind a minimal footprint.
