RCMP in Whistler, B.C., say they’re seeking public assistance as they try and find the family of an unaccompanied boy.

Police say they received a report of an unaccompanied child at a Dairy Queen location on 4338 Main Street just past 10 p.m. PT on Saturday.

They say the boy, who is believed to be around 12 years old, was found barefoot and is completely non-verbal.

Police add that there was no indication where he came from or where his family is, and they’re asking anyone with more information to come forward.

The boy is described as being around 12 years old, having a light brown complexion, short brown hair and brown eyes. When he was found, he was wearing a green collared T-shirt and grey shorts.

Anyone with more information on the child’s family or who recognizes him is asked to call the Whistler RCMP at 604-905-3044.
