Paris Jackson has found the one!
The “let down” singer, who is the only daughter of the late Michael Jackson, announced her engagement to music producer Justin Long on Dec. 6. The two have been together since 2022, according to E! News, but have kept their relationship mainly out of the public eye.
Jackson shared the happy news in a carousel of photos on Instagram, wishing Long — whom she affectionately calls “Blue” — a happy birthday.

“doing life with you these last years has been an indescribable whirlwind and i couldn’t dream of anyone more perfect for me to do it all with,” she wrote in the caption. “thank you for letting me be yours. i love you.”

Long may now be Los Angeles-based, but he spent some time in Indiana where he attended college at Grace College & Seminary, according to his LinkedIn.
He graduated in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and business administration and worked in that field before transitioning to music full-time in 2013.
He is a music producer and engineer

Long has been working as a songwriter, producer, engineer and mixer since 2005, but didn’t switch gears to pursuing it full-time until 2013 when he started working for Barefoot Recording in Los Angeles.
There, according to his LinkedIn, he worked with labels like Warner Brothers, Capitol, Island, Hollywood and Glassnote, and had an impressive roster of artists with whom he collaborated, including 5 Seconds of Summer, Nickel Creek, HOLYCHILD, Grace Potter, The Wombats and Sleater Kinney.

The music producer often posts his work on Instagram, including performances he’s collaborated on with Jackson. In June 2022, he shared a promotional poster for the singer’s appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, in which she was performing and he was “doing sound,” he wrote on Instagram.
The following year, he posted a video of himself mixing during Jackson’s performance at Bottlerock, a music festival in Napa Valley, Calif.
Shortly after the show, Long posted a screenshot of Jackson’s feature on the song “Blue Moon,” which he recorded her vocals for.
They had a professional relationship before a romantic one

Jackson and Long have known each other since at least 2022, when they seemingly started working together. The singer tagged him in her own Bottlerock Instagram post in May 2023 in a video of herself performing with her band and thanked him in February 2023 for helping one of her records, “bandaid,” come to life.
“grateful to everyone that was involved in making this happen,” she wrote in the caption.
While it’s unknown when their relationship turned romantic, Jackson wrote in her Dec. 6 birthday tribute that they had been together for “years.”

Jackson may have first shared photos of Long’s proposal in December, but she was seen wearing what looked like an engagement ring as early as September 2024 at Paris Fashion Week.
In addition to a photo of Long getting down on one knee in a gilded room and pulling out a ring, Jackson shared more flicks from the special moment on her Instagram Stories.
One of the images included a close-up of Long putting the ring on her finger, and another showed her leaning down to seal the deal with a kiss.

Jackson previously dated her bandmate, Gabriel Glenn, for two years before splitting in August 2020.
The singer opened up to host Willow Smith on a June 2021 episode of Red Table Talk about the “heartbreak” she experienced after her breakup, adding that she was approaching her next relationship differently.
“I’m very careful with who I spend time with now and very guarded and trying to protect myself,” she said.
However, she continued, marriage was still in the cards in her future, while kids were a “maybe.”
“I’m not against marriage, and if I love someone, sure, but right now, my main thing is my spirituality and my music,” Jackson said at the time.
