The Premier League has revealed its festive fixture schedule.

Amendments have been made to games in December and January to cover the remaining TV broadcast selections and, in addition, rest periods from rounds 17 and 20 have been increased to ensure no club plays within 60 hours of another match.

There will also be no winter break, with the season having started in mid-August to allow players to rest after Euro 2024 and Copa America involvement. Last season, teams took staggered two-week breaks from league action during the festive period.

December sees some huge fixtures in the top-flight, including Arsenal hosting Manchester United on Wednesday, 4 December (20:15 GMT), the Merseyside derby three days later (12:30 GMT), while Manchester City face rivals Manchester United on Sunday, 15 December (16:30 GMT)

Other highlights of the month include Chelsea travelling to Tottenham on Sunday, 8 December (16:30 GMT), while Manchester City are at Aston Villa on Saturday, 21 December (12:30 GMT) and Tottenham host Liverpool the following day at 16:30 GMT)

Unlike last year, when Wolves hosted Chelsea, there will be no Christmas Eve fixture.

Then Blues boss Mauricio Pochettino criticised the decision at the time, saying it was unfair on travelling fans.

Brentford versus Arsenal is the New Year’s Day game (17:30 GMT), while January highlights include Liverpool hosting Manchester United on Sunday, 5 January (16:30 GMT), a north London derby on Wednesday, 15 January (20:00 GMT) and Manchester City at home to Chelsea on Saturday, 25 January (17:30 GMT).

Sky Sports, TNT Sports and Prime Video will share live broadcast rights throughout the festive season with the BBC showing highlights.
