Windsor man charged with impaired driving after fatal crash on city’s east-end

Investigators continue to probe a fatal collision in east Windsor that killed a motorcyclist.

It happened around 11 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Lauzon Parkway and Lauzon Line.

According to a police, a pickup truck tried to turn eastbound when it struck a motorcycle that was headed northbound on Lauzon Parkway.

By the time officers arrived on scene, police say two people were found lying on the road with injuries — both were riding on the motorcycle.

The driver, a 39-year-old man, later died in the hospital. The 35-year-old female passenger suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the pickup truck ended up failing a breath test at Windsor police headquarters, according to authorities. The 41-year-old man faces several charges.

Police are hoping anyone who witnessed the collision or has video footage of the incident to contact them.
