The World Darts Championship is back underway at Alexandra Palace after the Christmas break, with Luke Humphries setting up a huge clash with Peter Wright in the fourth round.
Title holder Humphries cruised into the last 16 with a comfortable 4-0 whitewash of Raymond van Barneveld’s conqueror Nick Kenny on Friday night, putting him on a collision course with two-time champion Wright, who defeated Jermaine Wattimena 4-2 despite a chest infection.
Damon Heta hit a nine-dart finish in the first match back after Christmas but he was beaten 4-3 by Luke Woodhouse.
Jonny Clayton beat Daryl Gurney 4-3 in another thriller, while Gerwyn Price edged out Joe Cullen in a dramatic sudden-death leg and Stephen Bunting eased past
Luke Littler and Michael van Gerwen take centre stage in a blockbuster evening session on Saturday.
