Paris Saint-Germain made the trip to Auxerre but were forced to walk away with only one point after a goalless draw.
One man was the star of the show as mid-table Auxerre stunned the leaders.
Paris Saint-Germain sent their usually deadly attack forward right from kick-off, but every attempt for the opener was either blocked, cleared or saved.
Goalkeeper Donovan Léon was the impenetrable force for the hosts, helping Auxerre keep things deadlocked despite PSG registering 23 shots over 90 minutes.
Gonçalo Ramos could and should have had a hat-trick but saw every chance parried away by the shot-stopper. Meanwhile, Achraf Hakimi was denied twice, and Bradley Barcola was also silenced.
PSG called upon some talent off the bench by the hour mark with things still deadlocked. The introduction of Ousmane Dembélé and Randal Kolo-Muani couldn’t ignite a spark on the pitch.
It was Vitinha who perhaps came closest to beating Léon, but his curling effort hit off the woodwork.
Kolo-Muani then had a one-on-one moment with the goalkeeper and was denied at the death before Léon also had a finger-tip save on Désiré Doué.
Unfortunately for the hosts, their six shots were not enough to potentially fight for a stunning winner, but they will take the crucial point regardless.
Looking at the table, PSG have an eight-point lead, while Auxerre are on the brink of climbing into the top six.
