🇮🇹 Juventus and Roma cancel each other out in Serie A stalemate

Must read

Juventus and Roma played out an unspectacular 0-0 draw in Sunday’s Serie A clash.

A cagey first half saw the hosts fashion the only clear-cut chance as Kenan Yıldız teed up Dušan Vlahović for an effort that Mile Svilar palmed away.

Thiago Motta attempted to instigate a catalyst with summer signings Teun Koopmeiners, Francisco Conceição, Douglas Luiz and Nico González all introduced after the interval.

The Giallorossi, meanwhile, turned to Paulo Dybala and their own recent recruit Manu Koné but neither side were still unable to yield a breakthrough at the Allianz Stadium.

Angeliño went closest for Daniele De Rossi’s side in the final stages with a low strike that clipped the far post as they continued to push for a late winner.

Juve’s win-less outing allowed Inter to head into the international break as Serie A leaders on goal difference while Roma sit 17th with two points from their opening three games.
